Bollywood star Prithviraj talks to us on the red carpet in London for the world premeire of Raavan, the latest epic by director Mani Ratnam co-starring Virkam, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Prithviraj shares his reaction to the huge crowds of fans, his expereices working with his amzing director and co-stars and his feelings about the huge crossover success of Bollywood films around the world.

This comes after Sherlyn had posted naked images of herself on the site, saying that they were from a photo-shoot she had done. While not too long ago, she tweeted saying, “Where has my pic disappeared!!! This is strange! Can Twitter kindly let me know where my pics are? Is there a censor board on Twitter???” It turned out that the censors for content on Twitter deleted her images and also banned her from posting of images.

We might take offence at cardboard characters in films but every year we do consign one such character to the flames on Dussehra. Mani Ratnam, who has carved out a solid ground for himself in the estuary of the profound and the popular, tries to make this eternally black character (Raavan) a few shades lighter as he looks at the crux of the epic from the opponent’s point of view.

Unfortunately, he has gambled on the wrong actor to carry out a larger-than-life role. Abhishek Bachchan is best when he is understated and reserves his bouts of anger to a few scenes. This approach worked in Yuva and Guru, but here with little socio-political context, Abhishek as Beera fails to find his feet.

Yeah, it’s a bit light on specs, but the Vostro V13 is a great option if you want the portability of a netbook with the comfort of a notebook-sized screen and the solid metallic construction of a much more expensive computer. As a writer, this looks like an attractive setup to me.
